This garden is "Kaiyushiki rinsen Garden," which mainly consists of a fountain, an artificially created mountain, and a rock garden.

It is said that the remains of the residence of Edo's merchant Monzaemon Kinokuniya became the foundation. After that, Yataro Iwasaki bought the building’s ruins, and a garden was created with an added new taste.

At that time, the garden was to invite the comfort of employees and customers. After the death of Yataro, the landscaping still continued. The current garden was completed by adding a big fountain that drew water from the Sumida River, along with famous stones from various places, etc.

After that, although it suffered major damage in the Great Kanto Earthquake, it has been repaired to its current state.
