“灯篭 Toro” is a  illumination. It is a lamppost originally used in temples and after "the fusion of Shintoism and Buddhism" it is now also set up at shrines. It had a lantern lit by fire, and it illuminates the path to God 's main shrine.

In the Japanese garden, it is installed for viewing.
