Due to the Musashino peculiar terrain, "Kaiyusiki rinsen garden (Garden that can be appreciated while walking around in the park)" has skillfully made valleys. The cliffs have bright landscapes on top and ponds of springs underneath. The landscaping method is so that the atmosphere changes completely in the forest.

It became a villa of Sadae Eguchi (Vice President of Manchuria Railway) from 1913 to 1915, then it became a separate residence of the Iwasaki family of Mitsubishi Zaibatsu. The residential movement to protect the garden was triggered around 1965. The capital later acquired the garden and became its operator.
